Our Preschool

Middle Barton Preschool is housed in a beautiful, purpose-built setting at the heart of our village. Designed with young children in mind, our building offers a safe, spacious and inspiring environment for learning and play.

What makes our preschool truly special is its story — the building was made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of our local community. Parents, volunteers and supporters came together to raise the funds needed, seeing the project through from early plans to completion.

Inside, the layout is bright and open, with direct access to outdoor spaces and a variety of dedicated rooms to support different types of play and learning. From imaginative role play to quiet reading, messy play to outdoor exploration, our setting offers the flexibility and resources to support each child’s unique journey.

We are proud of our preschool building and grateful to the community who helped make it a reality.

We are equally proud of our outdoor area, which is a key part of daily life at the preschool. Children benefit from regular access to the outdoors where they can move freely, explore nature, and engage in imaginative and physical play. The garden includes a sturdy climbing frame, a purpose-built mud kitchen made especially for our preschool, and a small track for ride-on toys – all designed to enrich children’s physical development and social play.
