HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED OUR NEW BUILDING PROJECT!

Some time ago it was recognised that the old Pre-school "Portakabin" building was approaching the end of its life. When originally installed, the building had a life expectancy of around 15 years. Thanks to excellent maintenance it has served its purpose for no less than 25 years!

Maintenance work carried out during the summer of 2006 identified that deterioration of the building had become quite extensive.  Consequently a decision was made to replace the building.

Thanks to years of saving, numerous donations and local fundraising events, we raised over £200,000 for the replacement of the Pre-school building. A new custom-made timber building, designed and constructed by Woodcraft Homes Ltd, has been erected on the site of the old building.  The new structure has a life expectancy of over 100 years and thus will meet Pre-school's needs for many years to come.

Work began on the site in late August 2009, and the building was completed in April 2010.  Pre-school staff and children moved in at the start of the spring term.

Fundraising remains vital since we still need to raise £15,000 to cover our remaining building costs.  Please continue to support our events; for more details see our fundraising page.
