Happy New Year to you all. Many thanks for all our lovely Christmas presents, cards and kind thoughts. We said goodbye to Rhys, Bella and Ella who transferred to school.

Topics this term will include “Our senses, Food, Chinese New Year and People Who Help Us.”

The Parents Rota is on the notice board for you to sign up to help at a session. We really do appreciate your help and it is a way of seeing what your child enjoys at Pre-school. It is always more helpful if younger siblings could be looked after by a friend or relative. We would also be pleased to have any grandparents that may like to help.

We would be grateful for any unwanted gifts you may have received at Christmas. These can be placed in the box in the lobby and will be used at a future fundraising event for raffle prizes, tombolas etc.

We would also like to remind you of our “News from Home” board. This is for you share information and special moments that you have experienced with your child. Please tell us about days out, visits from family and friends, your child’s achievements at home and any comments your child may have made about what they have done/enjoyed at Pre-school. These items of information will be used to talk to the children about and may be used in our planning for future activities. Photo’s and drawings may also be pinned to the board or given to your Child’s Key Worker if you prefer.

Please could we also remind you that the children require suitable clothes and footwear for playing outside. We do encourage them to wear wellies and whilst we have a selection of sizes they are welcome to bring their own. Please make sure these are named.

You will have received a note about our “Come dine with us” supper evening around the village. This really is a very enjoyable evening and we would encourage you to support the committee by coming to this event. If you have a problem with babysitters we may be able to suggest a few, or why not leave the men at home and have a girlie night out! There is a list in the lobby for you to reserve tickets and also see who else is coming!
